Not only does Simsbury offer plenty of town parks, it’s also home to four beautiful state parks, including Penwood State Park, Stratton Brook State Park, Great Pond State Park, and Talcott Mountain State Park. Talcott Mountain State Park is part of the Metacomet Ridge, which stretches north to south across Connecticut and is home to the extensive Metacomet Ridge Trail.
